The Vipers of Dorne

The Martells play the long game. Doran Martell, the ruling Prince of Dorne, has spent nearly two decades plotting revenge against the Lannisters for the murder of his sister Elia Martell during the Sack of King's Landing. His brother Oberyn Martell, the Red Viper, chose a more direct path — his fatal duel with Gregor Clegane in King's Landing is one of the saga's most explosive moments. The next generation carries the torch: Arianne Martell, Doran's heir, whose failed queenmaker plot nearly started a war; Quentyn Martell, sent across the world on a doomed mission to win Daenerys Targaryen; and Trystane Martell, the youngest, betrothed to Myrcella Baratheon as a political pawn. Areo Hotah, the Norvoshi captain of Doran's guard, has witnessed more Martell secrets than any outsider should.
