The character in context

Bronze Yohn is Lord of Runestone and one of the Vale's most powerful lords, named for ancient runes on his bronze armor. He once visits Winterfell and tests himself against Eddard and Rodrik, while his three sons enter the Night's Watch, Renly's cause and Vale politics. After Lysa's death, Yohn joins the Lords Declarant in demanding that Petyr Baelish surrender Robert Arryn and leave the Eyrie. Petyr breaks the coalition with debts, offices and private bargains; Yohn remains suspicious but must accept a limited regency.
