The character in context

This Rhaenys is the daughter of Prince Aemon and wife of Corlys Velaryon, later called the Queen Who Never Was—not Aegon the Conqueror's sister. She is not named directly in a chapter of the five main novels, so her exclusion from succession, bond with Meleys, and role in the Dance cannot be presented as though three novel chapters narrate them. The entry links the correct identity and labels its readings as retrospective context only.
