The character in context

Ramsay, Roose Bolton’s bastard son, later receives the Bolton name. Exchanging identities with his servant Reek lets him evade capture; he helps Theon counterfeit the Stark boys’ deaths before turning on Winterfell himself. Torture and imposed names become means of controlling Theon. His bride is Jeyne Poole, presented as Arya Stark. A letter bearing his name later claims Stannis has fallen, but that claim is not an independently witnessed conclusion to the campaign.
