The character in context

Born a Redwyne, Olenna is Mace’s mother and Margaery’s grandmother, known as the Queen of Thorns. She presses Sansa to describe Joffrey beneath courtly appearances and arranges marriages for her grandchildren. At the royal wedding she handles Sansa’s hairnet; afterward Littlefinger explains her part in the poisoning. The visible action and a schemer’s later account should be read separately, without importing the television confession or death.
