The character in context

Meera, Howland Reed’s daughter, renews her family’s allegiance alongside Jojen. Her hunting, fishing and vigilance sustain Bran’s journey, while her stories preserve something of their parents’ past. She does not always accept her brother’s reading of destiny and asks what action remains possible. In the three-eyed crow’s cave she continues to care for the weakening Jojen and for Bran. The novels leave that work of protection unfinished.
