The character in context

Loras earns fame as the Knight of Flowers and follows Renly with deep personal devotion. Grief after Renly’s murder drives him to kill guards he holds responsible, leaving him later to confront the possibility of a terrible mistake. As a Kingsguard knight, his conversations with Jaime reveal loss and rashness beneath public glamour. Reports following the assault on Dragonstone describe severe wounds, but the published novels do not directly resolve his recovery.
