The character in context

Jorah is an exiled Westerosi knight who sends Varys reports about Daenerys in hope of a pardon. He also protects and advises her, but service does not erase his concealment. Once his spying is exposed, she banishes him from Meereen. He later captures Tyrion, intending to bring him to her, only to be enslaved alongside him during the journey. After escaping, they join the Second Sons. His hoped-for return to the queen remains unfulfilled in the published narrative.
