The character in context

Jeyne, daughter of a western vassal, tends Robb after he is wounded taking the Crag. News of his brothers' deaths brings them together in grief, and Robb marries her, breaking his Frey betrothal. Jeyne tries to support him without knowing that the potions supplied by her mother prevent pregnancy. After the Red Wedding she mourns Robb, resists surrendering her crown and defies her mother. She is a young person enclosed by family bargains, not the adaptation's Talisa killed at the feast.
