The character in context

Corlys Velaryon, the Sea Snake, was Lord of Driftmark and husband to Rhaenys, the Queen Who Never Was. No named chapter in the five main novels directly narrates his nine voyages, wealth, or career in the Dance; those full details belong to histories outside this evidence set. The reading trail therefore uses succession, marriage, and institutional memory to show the context in which his maritime power has largely vanished from the novels.
