The character in context

Aeron, Balon’s brother, becomes a priest of the Drowned God after nearly drowning. Known as the Damphair, he interprets ironborn tradition through severe devotion and calls a kingsmoot to block Euron. The ceremony instead rewards Euron’s wealth and promises of dragons. Aeron cannot control the political force he has summoned. Afterward he disappears, leaving conflicting reports within the five novels; events from unpublished sample chapters are outside this account.
