Gendry

The Bull

Character Overview

Gendry grows up as a King's Landing smith's apprentice, unaware that Robert is his father. When the court hunts Robert's children, he travels north with Yoren and forms a bond with Arya through flight and forced labor at Harrenhal. The brotherhood offers belonging independent of an unknown father, and Beric knights him. By the fourth novel he works the forge at the crossroads inn and helps protect orphans. The novels do not make him lord of Storm's End or arrange a marriage to Arya.
